How to start? They are an amazing band. I am not sure exactly how to describe them. I find their sound to be phenomenal. I like a lot of different kinds of music, and Muse combines a few different genres together. Some of the most obvious genres they combine are alternative rock, classical, progressive rock, and electronica.
Some of my favorite songs by them are Bliss, The Small Print, Starlight, Invincible, Dead Star, and Butterflies and Hurricanes. The lead singer, Matt Bellamy, has quite a range of vocal techniques. Listening to Muse sort of just makes me happy inside. I don't really know how to describe it and I don't care how cheesy that sounds. I just hope you all get the same feeling that I do :)

You can listen to a random song by them on the official site thanks to the handy media player if you don't know where to start. Also you can listen to the rest of their music via the media link on the site and you just have to choose an album, and then a song. I recommend the album Black Holes and Revelations and the song Starlight if you don't know exactly where to start.
And I'm sorry that I didn't realize what week I was supposed to post so I hope it's alright that I posted week 3.

Their live concert CD is really good, I love all of the songs on it.
Muse in general is epic :)

I've been trying to teach myself how to play the guitar and that sounds like a lot of fun!

Did you know that the beginning of Space Dementia is actually taken from a Rachmaninov piano concerto? I think it's a rather neat/profound integration :) Love Muse, thanks for making others aware too
