sometimes i use the self timer
but mostly i get my friend to take pictures of me, and i return i take pictures of her
i knew a few photographers so sometimes i can con them into taking them for me with their amazing cameras in their studios with all the fancy lighting and whatnots, but thats really really rare because theyre always so bloody busy! :(

Mirror :) I got a cheap perspex full length mirror which works fine, though I'd love for someone else to take pictures for me.
I bought one of those 'universal' tripods for my cheapie camera but it's a piece of junk & doesn't work. D:

my dad is a photographer, so I might ask him, but it is a little awkward.. just "hey dad! could you please take some photos of me for LB??" haha, that would just be silly. maybe once, but NOT all the time... I take most of the photos at the self-runner, and sometimes your friends, but it is hard to say that the pics are bad or something. when you're on your own, you often could be more specific.. but it could be impractical too. :)

Self-timer. I'm finally investing in a wireless remote which I think will make my life 100x's easier.
What I learned though to keep your shots in focus when just using a self timer is just place a rock or any found object where you're going to stand in the photo. Focus on that spot, switch the camera to manual focus so it won't change, then press the button and then go run and stand by your rock! It works out pretty well for me

yeah. you just hook up like the receiver part to your camera and then you just have a little remote that you can hold that sets off the camera. i think the one i ordered has like a range of 100ft or so.
i can't wait until i get to use it.

well friends or family never really get why i want them to take a photo of my outfit, and i'm slightly anal about how others shoot me...so i use a timer if i must.
it totally makes me feel dorky but who gives a fuck.

I bought a cheap tripod, but it's the most frustrating thing in the world! I can never take vertical (as in, not landscape) photos with it because the camera is too heavy. I guess the tripod I bought was actually made for non-DSLR's. (T__T) I always end up tying the camera to the tripod with the neck-support things.
