I think we should all support young designers, and like, people who create (say your own dresses and such)! The reason is because, well what they or you create is unique and special where everything's not mass produced and common. I feel when people support the handmade item, they're supporting the creator's creativity, and I feel that's what we need around here.
I'm not a designer or anything, but I like to sew and create handmade, here are some of my uh, works! :D
I'll be glad if you guys post some of your work! Like your outfits you created, or any small handmade items! :D

Haha okay I know how boring, they're all the same shape.

I just started learning to sew in January and designed and sewed this dress:

Now I really want to spend my savings on a sewing machine, since I won't have access to one for at least four more months...

I'm generally very bad at sewing my own clothes or making my own jewelry ...

So, if it comes to DIYs I rather like it extremly simple:

For those bow hair ties (the right one wasn't self-made by the way, only the other two) I even took bow ties instead of making my own bows... so yeah, I rather like it very simple ~

Wish I was as talented as most of you here ;)

Awesome!!! I've been thinking of having my own leg garters too because they're spunky, but thought of making my own instead of buying coz there's kinda expensive online! Love your post, thanks for sharing!! ♥

I run my own upcycling / customising brand reworking second hand and vintage denim and transforming them into workable pieces of art! It's called Ethics, is based in England, but is branching out internationally, with a few sales in Europe in these past months. For anybody who loves something different - men or women - this is the place for you. The link is facebook.com/ethics.darlington . If you have a piece that you want customising, get in touch :). I post many of my items here on Lookbook, here are a few:

This was a denim jacket I cut the sleeves off, added the spikes, and the fabric peace sign and tie dye to the back. Ended up selling it on ebay - which I regret :(
