We are going to NY in January and would really appreciate tips on places to eat (ex: local places and nicer restaurants with GOOD FOOD! haha) and places locals are familiar with that tourists may not know about.

We are going to be staying in the Brooklyn area, so tips about places around there would be great too.

Thank you! =]

grimaldi's in brooklyn is fucking great pizza. i don't even really like pizza but it's good there. it's right by the brooklyn bridge too, so if you walk about a block you get onto the button and have a beautiful view of the bridge.

also check out williamsburg, bkln (otherwise known as the giant gathering of hipsters in nyc) because they have pretty nice secondhand stores (buffalo exchange, beacon's closet, etc) and record stores. it's a pretty nice area in general.

also be prepared for deadly cold hahaha

i'll post more as i think about it more

Definitely walk the Brooklyn Bridge (even better at night), wont take long either. Visit Broadway for shopping, Williamsburg is pretty cool also

just google all the thrift shops you can and vintage stores, if you can get the chance to walk down 9th street in manhattan you'll die and be in a vintage heaven.
