Do you want to wear it under another shirt or top, or just on it's own?
For looser fitting cotton T-Shirts to be worn on their own, I recommend Uniqlo (best balance between value & quality IMO), Hanes or American Apparel.

if you ever go anywhere in japan where there is a uniqlo, grab 3 of those basic white tees. they're a classic and a bang for buck for that quality. i got 8 colors of that basic tee i think.
