I know this is a cloth that many would associate with your own grandparents, but after watching this programme, I was fascinated by the colours, variations and ingenuity of this small community in making this lustrous cloth. It is certainly going through a challenging period.
After a long chat in a local tailors, I am determined to get a Harris Tweed jacket - I'm thinking of a golden brown, with flecks of purple and blue.
It is difficult to describe unless you have seen or handled this cloth because the subtleties are so tiny.
