I saw this interesting episode with Trinny and Susannah (haha) where british people were going to rate themselves from 1-10 based on looks. The results showed that women often rate themselves lower and men rate themselves higher. So I thought this could be an interesting thing to check here in the forums. And the point is not to point out who is beautiful or not, it's just to see what attitude you have to your appearance and how comfortable you are with yourself! :)

I have grown a little confidence and now consider myself a 7-8 :) I can't see me rating myself with a 9 or 10, but maybe I will in the future. I try to focus on the parts I love about myself, somehow, there is always something I hate about myself. I need to accept me the way I am. We all do! You guys have no reason to think this low of yourselves!

God, compared to people on here probably 3. Compared to the public at large, 7? If that doesn't sound obnoxious. But have a look around, there are a LOT of ugly people. You just don't/try not to notice them usually...

My self-esteem is crap, so I'd give myself a 5, maybe a 7 on a good day.

hmm I'd give myself a 6 on looks, since I hate being 5'0 and wish my hair was a little bit fuller.

why not just be honest?
i would rate myself a 7.5 on average. on a really good day i might look in the mirror and think "damn i look good" and maybe then im an 8 or so.

I was going to say. I feel so obnoxious, I was honest, gave myself a 7 (which people can feel free to disagree with haha), and all these hotter people are like ooh, a 5 maybe. Have you guys seen what most people look like??

i dont believe the people who have given themselves 4/5 honestly think they are a 4/5. its probs either because they're worried someone will disagree, or because they want people to say "omg you're totally a ten!!"

I'm nor sure, but I don't think that people, who gave themselves a 4/5 are only "fishing for compliments", you're right, maybe, in some cases they are ... I think some people always compare themselves to models or stars that look better and compared to a model I also think that I'm only a 4/5 ;-)
But rating the appearance is superficial, if we were rating our characters, I would give myself a 9 or 10 :-D

I'm not happy with my appearance and I'm not going to act like I am. However, I know I'd be a different person if I looked different to I do. It's taken me 18 years to become even close to being comfortable being me and I wouldn't want that all to be thrown away. For that reason and for that fact that I've accepted I can't change how I look, I'd give myself a 7.
I don't care if I'm the only person on planet Earth who thinks I'm a 7, it's fine.

sometimes when i see myself i think, wow i look good, not in an up myself way it's just like an, oohhh i'm surprised i don't look crap, kinda thing
i mean, everyone's learnt by now, i hate my legs, but they're toning up and tbh i eat the right emount of food, probbaly not enough. i don't touch junk food and i do enough excersise, tbh i'm the size i'm mean't to be and i can't be bothered trying to maintaine being extremely skinny, i'm a size 6 and that does me. i'd give myself about an 8, 9 on a good day.
