Any fellow web designers or people who code in general?

I love it! It looks great! I know how you feel, I used to be like that. I learned web development at university! Still have the advanced web to go, but I absolutely love it! I've been teaching my friends how they can fiddle with their blog themes to take out and put in things they want! :)

Wow, graphic design! Sounds similar to what I am doing (it's compulsory for us to do web design also though). Have you drawn up what you want the online store to look like? I would love to see it completed! :)

well, we summoned some ideas, but we don't have a concrete and finished idea yet. but we want to work with clean and reduced colours and forms. because our shirts are pretty dramatic, we want to keep the website a little more reduced^^

took three classes of web design in college (i'm a multimedia arts graduate) but i made my current portfolio website with the help of good ol' wordpress hahaha
i like the design part of making sites, it's the coding i abhor. i can read html well enough (well enough to pass) to manipulate templates but i do plan on making a website made from scratch soon. not my portfolio site but for my old thesis site.

That's a great idea! Minimal design is awesome, always brings focus to the other areas! :)
I hope you do well with it!

Sounds awesome! I do have trouble sometimes with coding... Mainly with the layout. For some reason I am always very illogical when it comes to coding. Sometimes I have to start all over again because it makes no sense!
I would love to see your portfolio website and the one you make (when you get around to making it).

Hello! It is possible to include your blog header in your 'About' section here in Lookbook, and it is also possible to make this a link to your blog! Just use this simple code in your About Me section (I can't actually show it here because Lookbook makes it work, but I can email you if you like?).
As for the Social Media buttons, you can generally get the images from the social media site itself. They generally provide code that you can place inside your blog theme. Or you can use this same code (the one that I can't type here) in your blog theme and find a button you like! Here are some buttons for bloglovin bloglovin.com/widgets. I think it's simple with bloglovin, you just choose your icon and type in your blog name and it does it all automatically, but I am not really sure. I would have to play around myself before I can say anything for sure!

Its fun when you do it out of free will. I'm sure it would have been alot more boring if we learned it at some school. :p

hey helen, you could try this tutorial:
http://jenieshell.blogspot.com/2009/05/how-to-make-navigation-bar-for-blogger.html
you could just edit the links so that it would lead to the sites/pages you want.

I know how to code in wordpress in general (at the moment all webs are offline), but blogspot is weird for me, so I only made header for my blog - frayed-laces.blogspot.com/ and I prefer minimalism as my friend with who I have blog do.

You need to use HTML in your biography section, a href="yourblogurl" img src="yourphotourl.jpg" /a I cant use here right code, but you can check this on the net, somewhere.

I never did any former schooling for web/graphic design, but when I was 11-12 I taught myself HTML via Neopets, lmao. Photo editing came later, but I don't think I'm too bad with either. I made all the graphics and most coding on my blog and edited all my own photos. :)

I taught myself when I was 7 or 8 because of Neopets, heh... :-) I've coded a couple websites completely, and recently, I've been using Dreamweaver. It really helps making things easier...
I wish I had the time to code more things, like my blog which is only black-and-white right now, but I don't have much time!
