If they're white already, it's abit hard to get rid of them. All you can do is put Vit. E and hope for the best. White is old, red/purple is newer.

coco butter lotion..im not a mom but most pregos use it :)
i have some on my hips and thighs, to be honest i dont really notice them and dont care about them. i doubt other people will too, unless they're extremely noticeable and all over the place. the more self-conscious you act, the more will people notice.
LAS LOUIS AND ST. VEGAS,
I have 'em, the only ones that really annoy me are the ones I discovered on my lower back. I was like, WTF ARE THESE, they look like scars from being whipped. :|
One of my little brothers actually has stretch marks all along his back which REALLY look like healed wounds from a whip. And he's a really skinny guy.
I honestly don't really mind the other more vertical ones I have on my thighs. And yes, a bit of normal sun exposure can fade scars SLOWLY over time. The ones on the outer sides of my thighs are definitely not as starkly obvious as the ones on my inner thighs. I do take a little bit more care now to keep those areas of skin more moisturized, just to try to prevent any future stretch marks (which will probably be few and far between since I've stopped growing, unless I get pregnant).
But if you're not really pale, then they'll always be lighter and stand out... even though my thighs are the lightest part of my body, the faded ones are still not going to ever really blend into my skin tone completely because I just got some mo' pigment up in the hizzouse.
When I was like 16 I grew almost a full foot in less than 2 months and it left me with stretchmarks on my lower stomach and under my arms. They're really big and I'm embarassed by them, but I haven't done anything to get rid of them. The first 2 years they were really dark purple but now they're a light pink, but still really noticeable.
The same thing happened to me. I went tanning during the summer and I exfoliate and put lotion on myself every day. It worked for me, the stretch marks were gone and they haven't appeared again. Of course don't go tanning every day two times a week is more than enough!
Also, everyone has stretch marks somewhere. It's nothing to be ashamed about!
Can you laser them away? :O
Is it possible even after they've turned white?
I have stretch marks on sections of my hips. I don't antagonize over them anymore because they'll come and go as they please.I went through a period of being tall and gangly so these are just a result of that.
I use mamma mio lotion, my body loses weight then it gains again..then lose again. so its like a balloon so my skin stretches. maybe you could try it,most pregnant mums does. you can check this site out mamamio.com/row/stretch-marks-scars/goodbye-stretch-marks.html
I have no idea how to get rid of them, but I have some on my thighs. I was walking around in undies and a tee at my boyfriends and he looks at my leg and said "what the fuck, did someone bite you." Uhh...no they're stretch marks.

HONG KONG GARDEN,
Tanning and exfoliating don't remove stretch marks because stretch marks don't form on the top layers of your skin... I have some stretch marks on my upper thighs that are pretty noticeable when I wear a bathing suit and I did A LOT of research on how to get rid of them... apparently, Bio-Oil is supposed to help reduce them (and laser surgery) and according to medical journals, once you have stretch marks, they are pretty much there for life. If your stretch marks aren't intense, you might be able to tattoo over them
