So I'm trying to decide what camera to get and I'm considering either a traditional DSLR or a Micro 4/3s.

I've read reviews and seen sample images of both and they both seem really nice. My personal pros and cons:

Sony
+ my dad has a Sony dslr hence I can always buy the adapter later on and borrow some of his lenses
+ Small, lightweight, ideal for more on the go stuff
- accessories and add ons are limited right now in Canada since its quite a brand new item
- seems to be sold out almost everywhere! (considering pre-ordering from a place)

Nikon
+ Liked how it handled in the store I tried it at
+ Less expensive (seen it for $600-700 in comparison to $800 for the NEX)
- Bulky, bit heavier then i'd like
- Not sure if its too advanced for a novice like myself

I'm looking to use my camera for art/school work, personal hobby and client work (I want to start shooting some of my own stock photos to use in my graphics)
