I was browsing Topshop's website and was looking at the New in Accessories and then saw them. Topshop are selling shutter sunglasses for £10 a pair. Yuk. There are already too many people wearing them as Primark were selling them for £1 a pair. Seriously who would pay £10 for a pair. 4 years ago |

Oh my. That is just sad.
Someone who doesn't know where else to buy them, obviously.
In my opinion, Topshop sunglasses suck. I mean the shitty (and expensive) replicas & all.

Shutter sunglasses are horrible and how do you see through them?!
I think Topshop has some great stuff. Although it's too expensive for me unfortunately. And I also think that some seaons it's great and other seasons there isn't a single thing I'd even look at.

Went to the new one in NYC today. Didn't buy anything, but I did see those shutter shades. Close to 15 dollars here. Ridiculous.
I don't care for their accessories. They feel too cheap and don't last long. Their clothes are cute, and it's a good place to get trendy items that you don't know if you'll want next year.

The topshop website is stupid, it has pictures of models wearing clothes that they don't even sell.

Topshop is beautiful.
But I can find anything just as good in the most wonderful chairty shops nearby that charge half the price.
And they're original, too : )

Topshop have got so expensive since they've started doing collaborations and have become much more 'fashion' than just fashion retail. Several years ago nobody even liked Topshop! Now they can get away with charging £15 for shutter shades... oh dear

I love topshop. Everything in that shop is really nice and quirky. I don't mean to sound a snob but if you really look there are some great clothes for only like £20 pounds. The jewerlly is beautiful and well worth £15. Don't agree with the shutter shades though.

i do love topshop, it is just a little bit quirky which i admire in a high street store. there is always a nice variety of trends instore. there's really something for most styles in there.
i also like how they stock other brands (realitees, tee and cake, illustrated people et.) because i love t-shirts and they have nicely fitting, good quality, and relatively inexpensive ones.
plus, topman is brilliant for basics...
generally, i don't order online stuff from them. it's just a bad idea, they are pretty unreliable from what experience i've had with them.
and i mostly shop in their sales. they can be pricey for what you get.

Shutter shades??? More like shudder shades...
I mean Yeah if you could close them when you didn't want to see something or were trying to ignore someone I would have a whole new outlook on them. yeahhh :p
Some serious hate-blockage there.
But seriously
I REALLY want to see the person who falls asleep at the beach with those things on!

Well that is Topshop for you! Then again you can't really compare Primark to Topshop. Quality control is slightly different. And I think that is what you pay for.

topshop is a really good high street store. but you have to get the right stuff, and not pick something that even if it is new out, everyone could have within a few weeks. it's a little pricey, but far better quality than some.

I hate shutter glasses. And i am disappointed that Topshop has decided to sell them, and also that they are charging such a high price for them.
there is the often problem of everyone having what you buy from there, so sometimes i do try and avoid it. in general it has some lovely clothes, but sometimes slightly over priced.

Exactly!
I love Topshop, most of the clothes they sell are exactly my style, and I can actually buy tights that fit my long legs! ;D
But yeah, I hate shutter sunglasses, but a lot of people do like them, and they are supposedly 'in fashion' so obviously they are going to sell them, you have to remember that the number one objective of a business is to make money&a profit, and by selling them and other things you may not like, but many other people will like, they will make a profit.

um sorry but i have to disagree. U don't need to buy stuff from Topshop just to be fashion forward. There are lots of stores now here in Manila that sells trendy clothes--even cuter and cheaper than Topshop. U just need to look beyond the overrated. But if u insist, u cud always just buy from them whenever they go on sale, saves u a lot of pesos :)

Some of the stuff in Topshop I find really nice, especially since I like floral print. But here in Singapore Topshop has pretty ridiculous prices. A dress at the cheapest is probably $70, which is something like 140 pounds (or more).

good things but their prices are way too high.

shutter shades just annoy me!
they don't necessarily protect your eyes,
& basically you just get stripy sunburn lines if you wear them in the sun anyway.
pointless tbh.

Girls are lucky to have Topshop in Singapore, whereas boys are less fortunate because Topman here SUUUCCKKSXSZZ!
But it's sick sometimes when almost everything on everyone is Topshop.
Didn't ever pay attention to their shades though.

There's some really cute things to be had if you have money to burn.
I'm all over their sales though - £95 real leather skinny trousers marked down to £30, and a £70 jacket to £35? Yes please. <3

there are some nice things in topshop but its oh-so-overpriced. i recently bought my prom dress from there at a pretty reasonable £50, but i never ever buy their jewellery, tights/socks, sunglasses or anything else. in fact, i dont really shop in topshop at all.
the problem is, you're paying high prices for clothes you're going to see 3958679487569284756 other people wearing the minute you step out of the store. not fun.

I have to agree with you in a fashion there but primark's quality is really bad that is why it is so cheap so with a primark top you wear it a few times and then it's no good while nowadays I would rather pay more and it last longer

shutter shades are disgusting. the people who buy them around where i live, are really chavvy/trashy and they just look stupid.
i think part of buying them from topshop, is that when someone asks "where did you get your sunglasses?" you can say topshop instead of primark, which is really stupid also.
