i thnk its always acceptable to wear scarf as long as u dnt cover of too much of ur body when the weather is burning hot :)

i wear thin scarves and lighter material scarves in the warmer months.....i wear them year-round
i don't think that theres anything wrong with it as long as you aren't wearing it in a "bundle up" kind of way.

I really can't stand the trend of wearing scarves in summer. I think it looks so dumb when someones wearing a t-shirt and shorts with a scarf on. Of course, do what you want, but remember there are a lot of other accessories available in summer as well.

I had to buy a thin scarf in Vegas two summers ago to tie around my neck because the girl I was with gave me the most massive hickey ever D: D: it was like 45 degrees C and no one seemed to think it was weird... thus I agree with Alexe G that you can wear scarves whenever you want as long as the material is appropriate for the weather.

never! the best thing about this season is that the scarf is still a spring look. obviously you'll want to switch to a lighter scarf - perhaps a silk one - NOT COTTON PLEASE! Check out the Balmain line for ideas if you don't know what I'm referring to..

Yeah I think a scarf made of the correct materials could be worn in spring, but I wouldn't wear a scarf on summer EVER, summers in here are brutal, I wish I could go to work on shorts and just a tee >_<

You can wear a scarf during any season. Just don't wear a super thick one in the summer. Some people wear them religiously.

I don't wear a scarf when it's frikkin' hot outside but I often carry one around with me in my bag for sudden temperature drops. I like having something around the neck when it gets chilly, possibly because I'm a bit of a hypochondriac when it comes to my heart and lungs.

I wouldn't wear a chunky knit scarf in summer.
Actually the weather here, imo, never gets cold enough for that.
But light weight/silk scarfs are pretty good.
And I wear scarves as belts sometimes. Thats pretty acceptable all year round.

like pretty much everyone else said, as long as the material changes, you're fine. wearing a thick knit scarf in june would really just be uncomfortable.

All year around..just depends on what kind of scarf, for spring through summer you definitely should wear light scarves of course.

I believe as well that it is all about the fabric. Scarves can be worn year round! In winter, wear wool or cashmere to keep warm. In spring and summer wear linen cotton. Silk is a year round fabric. LOVE SCARVES!

weather conditions permitting i would say. it was snowing yet again in Dublin soo i said hello to my scarf. hate when people wear scarfs for no reason though. YOU LOOK SO COOL WITH YOUR SCARF ON MANNNNNNN.

I think it is ok to wear a scarf any time of the year, it is just a matter of knowing what kind to wear. Like, don't be that retard trying to pull off a wool scarf in July.

I own some silk scarves and I wear them from (let's say) March til June - summer is way too hot here. but I love wearing silk scarves in summernights, as long as they don't make me sweat - I don't see anything strange.
