I have two looks, one with black lipstick and one with dark purple.
I actually wear my purple lipstick out all the time.. like even when I go downtown shopping.
Either go trashy or classy with it, or both.
It pretty much says itself that it doesn't really go well with the girly cute/bohemian stuff.

I love it, I'd generally save it for a night out though. Also its quite wintery i think, grr sometimes you gotta hate summer!

I have a dark purple "plum" colour lipstick which is amazing I think maybeline make it, it looks so nice on you wouldn't expect it either. Also love a dark red burgundy colour. The how well the shading suits you depends on skin tone though, but if you go to a more expensive make up counter they should have a few variations of the same shade for different skin undertones

i make my own black lipstick. check my profile pic. i put a primer on my lips, then lightly dust them with MAC eyeshadow in shadowy lady, then layer with MAC clear lipglass. i use a brush to apply the clear lipglass. it takes a while to get the coverage perfect, but it works! i should really buy 'real' almost-black lipstick though. i wear it when i am feeling gothy. the trick is to take it easy with the rest of your makeup and outfit.

^That's a good look. I usually wear dark lip color when I wear clothing or at least want it to stand out. It isn't that un-ordinary for me to wear dark lip colors though, because with most African American women, these dark lip colors are quite normal. My mom wears the stuff.

Well, I definitely would not wear it Monday to Friday, when I have school.
I would wear it on weekends--when I go shopping, hang out with friends, loiter around stores, etc.
I would probably have on a boho or tough kind of outfit.
ideal boho outfit: long skirt, baggy shirt, bib necklace
ideal tough outfit: ripped jeans w/dark-pattern-prolific shirt or shredded shirt w/dark jeans, lots of jewelry
